Our readers will be glad to know that Corporal O Hussey, 49444, 95th [Field Company, Royal Engineers], has received the following letter from the General Commanding the 7th Division:-
‘Your Commanding Officer has informed me that you have distinguished yourself by conspicuous bravery in the field on 1st July 1916. I have read his report, and although promotion and decorations cannot be given in every case, I should like you to know that your gallant action is recognised and greatly appreciated.’ We offer our heartiest congratulations and good wishes, and are glad to know that he has received official recognition for his gallantry.
