Local newspapers are a very valuable source of information about the home front during the Great War, and our hard working volunteers are indexing twelve local newspaper titles from July 1914 to the end of 1922. Many of the indexes are now  searchable on Surrey in the Great War and contain all sorts of fascinating and detailed information about the effect of the war on local people and organisations. (Newspaper Indexes loaded so far.)
