Learning Resources

The Surrey in the Great War project has created high-quality learning resources for Key Stages 2 & 4, to provide First World War-related local Surrey information, sources and activities that meet national curriculum requirements.  These resources are free-to-download and have been created in conjunction with an education consultant, Ruthie Boys.

To access our resources, please click on the appropriate image box below.  You will then be presented with the resources in a pdf format.

We hope that these resources will provide teachers, tutors and those leading home-education sessions with the tools and sources to equip students with knowledge about the First World War and how it affected Surrey specifically, with contextual information.

All of the sources included in these packs are subject to copyright restrictions, can be downloaded and used for learning sessions only.  Copies must not be redistributed.  For more specific information about Surrey First World War newspapers, please contact Surrey History Centre.

Please contact Surrey History Centre if you have any questions or comments: [email protected] or [email protected]
