To the left of the arch above the date 1914 is the figure of Bellona, goddess of war, surrounded by four mourning figures. To the right above the date 1918 is the seated figure of Peace surrounded by five figures, including an infant. Peace is holding a small winged figure of Victory. Name plaques are inside the arch.
